Trickle Down Economics The Republican way of bringing up the economy is by giving tax breaks to the wealthy and hoping that the money will trickle down to the rest of us makes no sense. The wealthy or what the Republicans call the job creators didn't trickle down anything when the economy was in trouble in 2008. In fact we had to help some of those job creators stay alive by giving them tax payer money.

Infrastructure Need The United States has always had the best infrastructure in world and it still does, but lately the nation hasn't invested that much on infrastructure. We have to start investing in new technologies to update our communications, internet, roads, and power grid. Investing in America is the best way to strengthen the economy and the middle class and the nation will be more solid because of it.

Presidential Material Senator Elizabeth Warren has proven herself to be Presidential material the way she took on the bank regulators, and the Federal Reserve Chairman says a lot about who she is fighting for. Hillary Clinton better keep an eye on her because she might have competition when the primaries come up.

Freedom Of Information Freedom of information is a must for our civil society to understand where we came from, create and share new ideas, and build on those ideas. That is why I don't understand why Aaron Swartz was prosecuted so unfairly, Aaron was all about freedom of information and for the Justice Department to target him so unfairly is not right. Why is it the the Justice Department went after him the way they did and not a banker from Wall Street that did damage to our economy.

Here We Go Again Bill O'Reilly is one of the most ignorant Republicans in the media. Just because he has a show, he tries to enforce his views on people and if you don't like it, your a pin head. Kirsten Powers a democratic strategist for Fox news appeared on the show with facts about the Presidents offer to Republicans that would cut medicare and medicaid and she even told him it was on the Whitehouse.gov website. Is Bill O'Reilly Deaf Bill O'Reilly recently got into it with Alan Colmes because O'Reilly wanted Colmes to name a specific spending program that the President would cut to negotiate with Republicans. Alan Colmes without hesitation gave him an answer that the President would make cuts to medicare and medicaid. But O'Reilly pretended not to hear anything and he called Colmes a liar and Colmes was not happy about that. When you put a lot of emotion into the news like Bill O'Reilly has your not a journalist you are another conservative air head. Watch the video.

Tours Canceled The White House tours have been cancelled do to the sequester cuts. I think that't just dumb, because the White House belongs to the people. For us not to be able to tour the Executive office destroys the point of going to Washington DC to tour the capital.

The Reach Out The President has realized that just talking to the House leaders is not going to help his agenda. So he has started to to reach out to Senate house Republicans. Drone Policy I am a big fan of President Obama, you could see that right away by just reading my blog. But I am not fond of his drone policy. When Eric holder released information about the legality of the President to bomb Americans in the United States it surprised me.

More About Profits When I see a lot of conservative politicians criticizing the President for his agenda and they don't offer a counter to it, I have to wonder if they are pulling in a profit just for opposing the President. We know that the conservative media loves to trash the President to make money, and lets face it hatred does bring in a profit. Just watch some of the videos, even a conservative took Hannity to task about trying to fault the President for everything.

Hypocrisy

The Federal Government was created by the people for the people as a way to keep the United States together. When the states ratified the U.S. Constitution they became part of the United States. That is why I don't understand why states are trying to fight the Federal Government, the government represents the states as one country. So I don't know why states controlled by Republicans are trying to pass dumb laws that go against federal laws, they are going to waist tax payer money on cases that are not going to go their way.

Jeb Bush The former Governor of Florida Jeb Bush once had a soft spot for immigrants. But now it seems like he has changed his mind about immigrants by going against the immigration proposals drafted by the Senate gang of 8. For him to put his opinions on the matter is just wrong because we are so close to getting something done on immigration.

American Dream America has always been a nation of immigrants, its what makes us unique. Ever since the first English settlers arrived in the new land they became part of it, the English accent went away and their was a new sense of American patriotism. That is why America had to break away from England, it did not want to be ruled by a nation that was thousands of miles away. Once the small nation got its independence, North western and Eastern Europeans made the their way to the new land.Some Europeans became Americans as soon as they touched land, they worked hard to live the American dream and provide for their family. America was made possible because people were tired of having to live under persecution, or having to live in a nation that gave you no chances to climb up the ladder. That is why America has to have immigrants, because those immigrants have dreams and with those dreams come businesses, and with those businesses comes a stronger economy.

Many Republicans are going after the President not because of ideology but to destroy his legacy. Even if it means bringing America down, that is why democrats need to start organizing and fighting for this President.

2014 Congressional Race If democrats really want to get Presidents Obamas policies of the ground we need to take the house of representatives back. The Republicans are showing that they are not going to compromise with Obama at all, and just want to stay in the way of the President. If President Obama helps with the campaign effort and unleashes his community outreach like his Presidential campaign did, we might have a shot.

Voting Rights is Still Necessary Section 5 of the Voting Rights act is still necessary to keep certain states in line and to fight counties who unfairly require documents to vote. Many counties in the south have been trying to get away with not sending their election practices to the Justice Department. This are the States and counties that are affected by this rule, they say its not fair, I say their is a reason for it, just look at your past.
