Raise Minimum Wage

Raising the minimum wage is a big issue for a lot of conservatives. The top 1 percent of Americans who are wealthy don't like the idea of giving some of the revenue that the company made to employees, so they have conservatives making sure the minimum wage isn't raised.

Media Outlets Do Not Attend

The Justice Department is trying to play nice with major media outlets who are upset over the AP Scandal by having an off the record meeting. But some of the big news organizations are not happy with it being of the record, as they should be. Journalism is about putting big stories on record, and for the justice department to try to keep it off record is dumb.

The True Handout

Many Republicans say that giving money to the unemployed or struggling Americans is a handout. They think people that are unemployed are lazy and drug junkies. I have to give it to the Republicans they have the propaganda and the money to label unemployed Americans as lazy. But the true handout takers are the rich 1 percent of Americans who got tax breaks thanks to President Bush while the others got no tax breaks.

Double Standard

The justice department has become hypocritical when it comes to prosecuting individuals. When Aaron Swartz broke a law that in my opinion should have been a misdemeanor the justice department threw the book at him by over-prosecuting with 13 felonies. But who is holding the justice department accountable for its actions in the AP scandal, no one of course because they are the prosecutors.

Funding of Science

Science has always been a key for the United States to stay as one of the most powerful countries in the world. But thanks to the sequester many research facilities that are critical to this nations future are starting to lose funding. Education and science are very critical to this nation and for some of the Republicans who call the funding pork is despicable. What they call pork I would call an investment in America, when investments are made in the right departments , new technologies emerge.
