Voting Rights is Still Necessary Section 5 of the Voting Rights act is still necessary to keep certain states in line and to fight counties who unfairly require documents to vote. Many counties in the south have been trying to get away with not sending their election practices to the Justice Department. This are the States and counties that are affected by this rule, they say its not fair, I say their is a reason for it, just look at your past.
